Description
These are King Khurhu’s hand-carved African Masks. They can be used for altar and ritual work. Each mask is adorned with distinctive African designs. In Songye language, these masks are called kifwebe. This term is given to masks representing spirits and supernatural forces. The kifwebe society used them to ward off threats and disasters. Color, size, and even gender of the mask can evoke a different energy. The masks can also heal by means of its supernatural force.
